The Pan American Highway must cross the Darien GAP or the Darien National Park, about 50 miles of road has to be constructed to connect the highway from Panama to Colombia. The Darien National Park was declared a World Heritage site in 1981 and a Biospheric Reserve in 1982. Building a highway across this Eco-sensitive environment will be challenging but not impossible. I think that this road is necessary for the development of South and Central America. http://www.facebook.com/ed024
